The first prestigious eco-friendly building (sustainable architecture) in the frame of a contract with Islamic Encyclopedia Center was designed by Hamoun Co. in cooperation with Green-House Group. A 63-storey Complex including 55000 m2 residential areas, 20000 m2 commercial areas, 30000 m2 office areas, and shopping, recreational and sport areas, restaurants and more than 1500 parking units which was designed and started to be constructed in a 16000 m2 land in Ajoudanieh, Tehran. The project was designed in full compliance with the 5 principles of sustainable architecture (sun, wind, shadow, water and soil) to naturally provide the light, heat, cold, refresh air and comfort to residents. According to the characteristics of the project, it was named “Zamin” (means Earth). Considering the research nature of Islamic Encyclopedia Center, “Qalam Sura” from Holy Quran (Qalam means pen) was selected as the keyword to achieve the desired form and content of the project. Additionally due to the location and the height of the project, specific studies were done about Tehran faults and about the impact of probable earthquakes and winds on the structure and also about the structural sustainability mechanism with its special and unique complexities and criteria which was performed by Hamoun Co.
